We are looking for an experienced labourer for our warehouse operation.
YARD LABOURER
HOURS: Full time
LOCATION: Marshfield, Chippenham, SN14 8BB
PAY: Dependant on experience
CLOSING DATE: Thursday 24/02/2022
JOB PURPOSE:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our busy outdoor power company for a competent yard based labourer based in South Gloucestershire. You will support the business in the preparation, picking, packing and unpacking of electrical equipment including cables, distribution, lighting and other products used within our industry, training will be supplied as necessary.
This is mainly a depot based position, however, there may be occasions where it is necessary to travel to site.
KEY TASKS AND MAIN DUTIES:
- Provide general assistance within the yard, including loading, unloading and cleaning of equipment
- When required, drive company vehicles to collect/deliver parts and any essential equipment, once training has been given
- Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy
- Assist in the Annual PAT Testing of cables, adaptors and any other items requiring test, full training to be given (if necessary)
- Assist in repairing of cables and distribution, once training has been given
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Driving license
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Fork lift license (Training to pass level and test supplied, to successful applicant)
- Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment
- Knowledge of Electrical / Lighting equipment
- Have a flexible approach to work as the needs of the business dictate
BENEFITS:
Salary negotiable dependant on experience, 28 days holiday including bank holidays, company auto enrol pension scheme
