Supplying a value for money temporary electrical service without
being brash or intrusive.
With 20 years’ prior experience in event power, Jim Creed founded ‘The Powerline’ (Entertainments) Limited in 1999, with the aim of creating a good value temporary electrical service that could stand the test of time, without being brash or intrusive.
Initially short of our own equipment, and with a clean sheet (as far as client base and capital were concerned) presented a challenge in an ever-expanding and competitive market. However, Powerline were not shy in investing in high-quality products, or to initiate strong client relationships. Under this approach, within 3 weeks of our inception, we secured our first major job as a supplier to the BBC and Castlefield Productions for the 1999 Inauguration of the Welsh Assembly, and accompanying ‘Voices of the Nation’ concert.
Powerline now boasts a fleet of dedicated event and broadcast generators, supported by a large stock of cable, and modern modular distribution equipment. We have also expanded our range to include temperature control units, which have recently deployed vital air conditioning to editing and graphic suites at ITV’s ‘Love Island’ site, and stable heating to Dyson’s Christmas Ball at Bowood House.
As a result of our ongoing commitment to high standards, our clientele – and the trust they place in Powerline – has expanded each year. We are immensely proud of our work to date, but are always looking toward the next project, however large or small. To that end, your enquiry – be it a 3 kVA generator for a day, or a power package for a major touring act – is as valued as any other.

We did not want anyone to miss the action, and when every pass, kick, and point counts, it is key to have the best in product and personnel quality.
